Balaji Storage Batteries Ltd. is sitting at No. 85, Madho Bihari Ka Hattha, right across from the Police Line on Station Road. It’s a pretty busy spot because of all the traffic coming from the station. We deal with all kinds of heavy batteries, the ones you use for cars, trucks, and even for power backups at home. There’s always a faint smell of acid in the air and the sound of chargers humming in the back room. We have to move these heavy units around all day, so it’s definitely a bit of a workout. The shop front is usually cluttered with old batteries that people have brought in for exchange. We aren't interested in making the place look like a showroom; it’s more of a workshop where we test voltages and check water levels. Sometimes the police from across the road stop by just to say hello or if they need something checked. Station Road is never quiet, so we get used to the noise and the dust. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years whenever their vehicle won't start in the morning. We just keep our heads down, do the testing, and make sure the batteries are charged and ready to go. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just take things one battery at a time.
