We are located in Shakti Colony, specifically in the Lakkar Mandi area near the Delhi Bye Pass. If you know where the Masjid in T.P. Nagar is, we are pretty close to that in the Amagarh section. It’s a very busy part of town with a lot of heavy vehicles moving toward the bypass. Because of the felt we work with, the air inside can sometimes be a bit fuzzy with small fibers. We have large rolls of material stacked up against the walls, and the cutting tables take up most of the floor space. It’s a dusty kind of work, but we’re used to it. The sound of the traffic from the Delhi Bye Pass is a constant background noise, mixed with the occasional call from the nearby Masjid. We keep a simple routine here. We show up, check what needs to be cut or processed, and get to work. There isn’t much in the way of decoration in the shop; it’s all about the materials and the machines. Sometimes we have tea outside in the colony just to get a bit of fresh air away from the felt dust. The neighbors are mostly other industrial or commercial shops, so it’s a hardworking atmosphere. We just focus on the rolls of fabric in front of us and getting the orders ready for the trucks that pull up throughout the week.
