Prem Gift & Fancy

You can find us in the Main Market of Shahpura. It’s right in the middle of everything, so it stays pretty lively throughout the day. We call it Prem Gift & Fancy because we sell a lot of those "fancy" items like hair clips, bangles, and small cosmetics alongside the usual gift stuff. The shop is usually full of people from the village and the nearby areas who come into town for their shopping. It’s a lot of noise and talking, especially on market days. I have to keep a close eye on the smaller items because they can easily get misplaced when it’s busy. We have shelves all the way to the ceiling, so I’m often climbing a ladder to get something down for a customer. It’s not a fancy showroom, just a regular market shop with plenty of stock. We get our supplies from the city once a week, so there’s always something new to look at. The weather gets really hot in the summer, and the shop can feel like an oven even with the fans on, but we stay open regardless. We’ve been a part of this market for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a simple life, selling things that make people a little bit happy, whether it's a new toy for a child or some jewelry for a festival. We just take it one customer at a time.
