Poonam Book Depot

You can find Poonam Book Depot at E 871 near Amrapali Circle. This is in Vaishali Nagar, not too far from the main market area. We have stacks of books everywhere you look. Some are for school, some are just for reading, and honestly, some have been sitting there for years. The shop isn't very big, so we have to use every inch of wall space for shelving. Sometimes the stacks on the floor get a bit high and you have to be careful not to trip. Amrapali Circle is a landmark most people know, so it makes giving directions easy. I've been working here a long time now. The smell of old paper is something you just get used to. We have notebooks and pens too, tucked away in the glass counters. The lighting isn't the best in the back, but we know where everything is. Students come in a lot during the start of the term, and then it gets really loud and busy. The rest of the year is more peaceful. I usually have a radio playing low in the background. It is just a local bookshop, nothing more than that. We open early and stay until the sun goes down. If you need something specific, you might have to wait while I dig it out from the back. Sometimes the door sticks when it is humid outside, so you have to give it a good push to get inside.
