Pinky Gift Shop

You can find Pinky Gift Shop down in the basement of the A C Market at Saraogi Mansion. Our unit is B-16, and being on M I Road means we are right in the thick of things. It’s always noisy upstairs with the traffic and the crowds, but it’s a bit quieter once you walk down the stairs to the basement level. We have a lot of items crammed into our space. It’s mostly gifts and home decor things that catch the eye. The air conditioning in the market helps a lot during the summer months, though it can get a bit stuffy when the mall is full of shoppers. We spend our days rearranging the glass cases and making sure everything is priced correctly. We share this basement with many other shopkeepers, and we often get tea together in the afternoons. It’s a friendly atmosphere despite being underground. People come to Saraogi Mansion from all over Jaipur, so we see a lot of different faces every day. Some are looking for something very specific, while others just wander in because they like the look of something in the window. We try to keep a good variety of stuff on the shelves. It’s a bit of a struggle to keep everything tidy because people like to pick things up and put them back in the wrong place. But that’s just part of running a shop on M I Road. We’ve been at B-16 for years now.
