We are located right in the middle of the old city in Tripolia Bazar. It is near Choti Chaupar, which as everyone knows, is one of the busiest parts of Jaipur. Being here means we are surrounded by all the history and the noise of the markets. The building is older, with high ceilings and those thick walls that stay a bit cooler in the heat. It is not like those new colleges with glass walls; it has a lot more character than that. You have to navigate through the crowds of shoppers and rickshaws just to get to the entrance. Once you are inside, the noise dies down a little bit, but you can still hear the temple bells and the honking. We have classrooms that have been used for years. The stairs are a bit narrow and worn down from so many people walking up and down them. It is a very traditional atmosphere here. Students come from all over the city because it is so central. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place organized because things can get messy with so many people. There is a certain rhythm to the day here, starting early before the shops fully open and ending when the bazar is at its peak. It is definitely a unique place to spend your day. Sometimes the monkeys on the roof make a racket, but we just ignore them and carry on with our work.
