Our building is located at 565 Moti Nagar West. It's a busy enough spot and the structure isn't brand new, but it works for what we need. Inside the rooms, we have a bunch of sewing machines lined up in rows. It gets quite loud when everyone is working at once. We make clothes here. Usually, it's whatever the latest order requires. We deal with piles of fabric all day long. Some of it is cotton, some is mixed stuff. We just get the patterns and start the cutting process. It's a lot of sitting down and focusing on the needles. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit and we have to take a break until it comes back. That's just how things are in this part of town. We aren't a giant factory or anything like that. Just a group of people working together at Pragati Readymade Garments Pvt. Ltd. The finished clothes get folded and put into plastic bags by hand. We try to keep the place organized but with all the fabric scraps it gets cluttered fast. We have some regulars who come by to check on the progress. Most of the time we're just busy trying to meet a deadline. It's a job. We know the neighbors well. If you're looking for us, we're right there in Moti Nagar.
