We are set up near the Inox Cinema in Vaishali Nagar, which is a pretty lively neighborhood to be in. On weekends, the whole street fills up with people coming for the movies, and you can hear the crowds from inside the shop. We have been here for a while, just tucked away near the theater. The shop is full of different items for the house, so it can get a bit cluttered if we aren't careful. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make space for new stuff that arrives on the trucks. It is just a few of us working here, so we do everything ourselves, from sweeping the floor to talking to anyone who wanders in. We don't have a big corporate office or anything; it’s just the shop floor and a small back room where we keep the extra stock and the kettle for tea. Sometimes the neighbors from the other shops come over to vent about the parking or the weather. It feels like a little community on this block. We try to keep the windows clean so people can see what we have, but the city dust makes that a daily job. It is a simple way to make a living. We open the doors, turn on the lights, and wait to see who wants to add something new to their home.
