Mohan Shrinagar Centre

You can find Mohan Shrinagar Centre right in the middle of the bustle at Tripoliya Bazar. Specifically, we are at Shop No 50, near the first crossing of Maniharon Ka Rasta. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with people and rickshaws everywhere. It’s a historic part of town, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. The shop is tucked away where all the bangle sellers and traditional shops are. It's a small space, filled with all sorts of things for shrinagar. We don’t really do much advertising because the foot traffic here is constant. Someone is always walking by, looking for something small for a wedding or a local festival. The walls are lined with wooden shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It can be hard to reach the top ones without using a rickety stool. We deal with a lot of different people every day, from locals to folks just passing through the market for the first time. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we keep the doors open and carry on with flashlights. It's noisy and dusty outside, but inside we just focus on helping whoever walks in. It’s a traditional kind of life here at the 1st crossing. We just keep the shop open and see what the day brings. The smell of street food from the corner always drifts in around lunchtime, making us hungry while we work.
