Mobile World

Down on Data Ramgarh Road, near the Uncha Kuwa area, you can find us tucked away in Habliyon Ka Rasta. Our address is 1901, and it is one of those old-style streets where everyone knows everyone else’s business. The road is narrow, so it can get a bit cramped when too many scooters try to squeeze past each other at the same time. Inside the shop, we have glass counters filled with different mobile sets and accessories that we try to keep clean, though the fingerprints seem to appear the moment we wipe them off. We see a lot of local families coming in, usually with kids who want to touch everything. It’s a lively environment, especially in the evenings when people are out for their walks and stop in just to say hello or ask the price of something. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to fix things and sell the basics. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the sign outside is a little faded from the sun, but it does the job. Working here feels more like being part of a neighborhood than just running a store. We just open up in the morning, drink our first tea, and wait for the first customer of the day to walk through the door. It gets a little noisy when the temple nearby starts its prayers, but we like the rhythm of it all.
