Mela Shop

We are located over at 22 Godown, right near Shankar Circle in the C Scheme area. It is a bit of a hectic spot because of all the vehicles coming through the intersection, but it keeps things interesting. The building isn't new, so it has its own little quirks and spots that need fixing now and then. Every morning we roll up the shutters and start the day. The area is quite industrial and commercial, so there’s always a lot of dust flying around from the road. We spend a good amount of time just wiping things down so they look decent. It is not like those big malls you see further out in the city. Here, it feels a bit more grounded and real. We know most of the people who work in the offices nearby because they pass by every day. Sometimes we stand outside for a minute just to get some fresh air, though with the traffic at Shankar Circle, it’s mostly just exhaust fumes. The shop itself is filled with all sorts of things, and sometimes it gets a bit cramped, but that is just how it is. We don't try to make it look like something it isn't. It’s just Mela Shop, a place where we spend our hours from morning till late evening. We like being in C Scheme even if the parking is a total headache for everyone.
