Mechneers India is located over on Ashwini Marg at 27-A. It’s a decent-sized spot but we’ve managed to fill every inch of it with equipment and desks. We aren't the type of place with a big sign and flashing lights. Most of our work happens inside where it’s a bit quieter. We deal with technical stuff mostly. You’ll see a lot of people hunched over tables looking at diagrams or trying to get a piece of hardware to fit just right. We’ve been at this for a while now. The building is okay, though the roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard in July. We just put a bucket under it and keep working. Our morning starts with a quick meeting to see what’s urgent for the day. We don't have those long corporate meetings where nothing gets done. We just talk about who is doing what. The phone rings a fair bit, usually people asking for updates or technical advice on a part they bought. We try to be helpful without making things sound more complicated than they are. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to understand what needs to be done. It’s a steady rhythm of work, drinking too much tea, and trying to get things finished before the weekend starts. It’s just how we run things in this office and it seems to work out fine for everyone involved.
