My little studio is located at No. 24/138 on Toran Path in the Mansarovar area. It’s not a very big place, but it has enough room for my cameras and a couple of lights. I started taking pictures a long time ago and eventually just decided to do it as a job. Most of the time, I’m out and about in the neighborhood shooting local events or small gatherings. When I’m not out, I’m usually sitting at my old desk trying to sort through hundreds of photos. It can be a bit slow and my back starts to ache after a few hours of sitting. I try to keep the studio tidy, but there are always cables and tripods laying around where they shouldn't be. People from around Mansarovar come in for basic portraits or sometimes for something more specific like a family photo. I don’t use any of those heavy filters that make everything look fake. I just try to get the focus right and hope the light is leaning in our favor. Sometimes the equipment acts up, which is frustrating, but that’s just part of the deal. It’s a busy life and the phone rings at odd hours with people asking for prices or dates. I don't have a big staff, so I do most of it myself. It keeps me busy and I get to see a lot of different faces every week.
