Manohar Ayurvedic Store

Manohar Ayurvedic Store is located at 63 Kishanpole Bazar, right on the main road and very close to the Ajmer Gate. The shop is quite old and filled from floor to ceiling with wooden drawers and glass jars. Each jar is filled with different herbs, barks, or powders, and they all have their own specific scent. When you walk in, the mixture of all those smells is the first thing you notice. We spend our days measuring out small portions of these items for customers who come in with handwritten notes. Kishanpole Bazar is one of the busiest places you can imagine, with people, rickshaws, and cows all trying to move through the same narrow space. Being near Ajmer Gate means there’s never a quiet moment. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when there aren't any customers, but usually, there’s a bit of a queue. The light inside the store is a little dim because the building is old, and the wooden counters are worn smooth from years of use. We don’t do any modern marketing; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been at 63 Kishanpole Bazar for a long time. It’s a very simple way of doing business. We open the shutters every morning and start the day by cleaning the jars and waiting for the first person to walk through the door.
