Manish Sharma

Manish Sharma is based out of Shastri Nagar here in Jaipur, specifically on Shyam Marg. It’s a nice enough area, mostly residential but with a few of us running small operations out of the buildings. Our spot is at C 73, which isn't too far from the GPO. It’s a pretty quiet street most of the time, except for when the kids are coming home from school in the afternoon. We’ve been here for a while now and most of the neighbors know us by name. The office is just a couple of rooms that we’ve set up with whatever furniture we could find. We didn't spend much on fancy decorations. We have a few plants on the windowsill that we sometimes forget to water, but they’re hanging in there. It’s a relaxed kind of place. Manish usually has some local music playing softly in the background while he works. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most famous business out there. We just want to do decent work for the people who come to us. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour and we have to sit and wait for it to come back on, which gives us a chance to catch up on some tea and gossip. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. People just hear about us from word of mouth and stop by for a chat when they need something.
