Mahavir New Modern School

If you find yourself in front of Aschaura Railway Station, you’ll see Mahavir New Modern School right there. We are also just opposite the Kewara Mandi, so there is always a lot going on around us. You can hear the trains pulling in and out all day long, and the noise from the market across the way never really stops. It’s a busy spot to have a school, but we’ve made it work. The building is right in the middle of all that action. We spend our mornings sweeping out the entrance because of all the foot traffic from the station. Being across from the Kewara Mandi means there are always trucks and carts moving about. It’s a noisy, lively part of town. Our school isn’t some polished institution; it’s a practical place for kids to learn. The walls have some scuffs, and the furniture is well-used. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, the teachers, and the kids trying to hear each other over the sound of the railway whistles. We keep the water coolers filled and the chalkboards clean. Most of us have been working here for a long time and we know the rhythms of the station and the market by heart. It’s an honest way to spend the day, right in the thick of things in front of the station. We’ve become a part of the local scenery here over the years.
