Madaan Traders

You can find Madaan Traders at 162 in the Sethi Complex, which is tucked away inside Purohitji Ka Katla in Johari Bazar. If you’ve ever walked through the bazar, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes can get. It is a maze of shops and people everywhere. We have been operating out of this spot for quite a bit. It’s a traditional trading environment where we spend most of the day talking to suppliers and customers. There is a lot of paper work and ledger books involved. We don't have a big storefront with lights; it’s more of an old-school setup where the business happens inside. The complex is always humming with activity. We drink a lot of tea while we work, mostly brought in from the stall around the corner. It gets quite hot in the summer months, but we have our fans going. People come to us because they know where we are in the Katla. It’s not the easiest place to find if it’s your first time, but we’ve been at number 162 for so long that most regulars know the way. We handle the daily trades and manage the stock that comes through the narrow doors. It’s just a regular day-to-day business in one of the busiest markets in the city. We keep things simple and just focus on the trade.
