Krishna Higher Secondery School

Krishna Higher Secondery School is right over in the Balaji Market area, within the Contonment. It’s a bit of a unique spot because of the market nearby. There is always something happening right outside the doors. We have students coming in from all parts of the Contonment and even further out. The building has several floors and we have to use every bit of space we have. Since it is a higher secondary school, the students are older and things are a bit more serious than at a primary school. We spend a lot of time on the main subjects and preparing for the bigger exams. The classrooms are filled with old wooden desks and the walls are covered with charts. It isn't a fancy place, just a functional one. We have a small staff room where the teachers drink tea and talk about the day's lessons. Dealing with teenagers can be a handful, but we’ve been doing it for years now. We don't have a lot of extra frills here. We just focus on the books and making sure the kids show up on time. The noise from the market is just part of the background here. You get used to it after a while. We are just a local school trying to do a decent job for the community and we don't plan on changing much.
