Khandelwal Masala Bhandar

Khandelwal Masala Bhandar is over in the Jhotwara Industrial Area. It’s a place where we spend all our time. The smell of spices is everywhere here. It’s strong and you get used to it after a few minutes. We deal with all kinds of masalas. We have bags of whole spices and then the ground-up ones too. The industrial area is quite big and there are lots of factories around us. It can get pretty dusty outside. Inside the shop, we are always busy weighing things out or packing them up. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a practical space. We’ve been doing this for a long time now. People come to us because they know what we have. We don't do much advertising. Mostly, it’s just people telling each other about us. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the next delivery. That’s just how it goes. The work is repetitive but it’s what we know. Jhotwara is a good spot for this kind of business. We see a lot of trucks coming and going. If you come by, you’ll definitely smell the chili or the turmeric before you even see the sign for Khandelwal Masala Bhandar. It’s a basic operation, but we stay busy. We like the work we do.
