Our place is at 52 C Scheme, over by Dhuleshwar Garden on Sardar Patel Marg. We are quite close to the Chirmi Palace Hotel, so people use that as a landmark to find us. It is a nice enough spot, a bit quieter than the main markets, which helps. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of the herbs and oils we keep in the back. It is a strong, earthy scent that lingers on your clothes. We have a small consultation room and a space where we keep all the bottles and jars. The shelves are packed with stuff, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what we need. We spend our time talking to folks about their aches or how they aren't sleeping well. It is a lot of listening. The garden nearby means we get some birds chirping outside the window in the mornings, which is pleasant. We keep the floors clean because people often take their shoes off at the door. It’s not a high-tech place. We have a desk, some chairs, and a lot of old-fashioned knowledge. Sometimes the deliveries of new stock arrive late, and we have to rearrange everything to make room for the crates. We just go about our work, pouring oils and weighing out powders for whoever walks through the gate. It is steady and quiet most of the time, and we like the pace of it here.
