Kbc Bricks

If you are driving down the Jaipur-Agra Road, you probably have passed Kbc Bricks many times without thinking much of it. We are right in the Kanota Main Market, which stays pretty loud with all the trucks and buses going by. Being so close to the Kanota Bus Stand is handy because it makes it easy for our workers to get here. We deal in bricks, and as you can imagine, everything here is covered in a light layer of red dust. My family has been doing this for years, and we just know the business of clay and fire. It’s dirty work but it pays the bills and keeps the local builders happy. I spend a lot of time on the phone or just standing outside watching the loads go out. We don’t have any big slogans or anything like that. People just come by because they know we are here and we have the bricks ready to go. The market is always crowded, especially on weekends, so it gets a bit chaotic. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles of bricks get a bit messy when we are busy. The sun in Rajasthan doesn't make it any easier, but we have a small room with a fan where we take breaks. It’s just how things go in Kanota. We stay open until the sun goes down and then do it all again the next day.
