Kavita Std

Our little shop is located in Sen Colony on Station Road, right opposite the Jaipur railway station. Even though the name says Kavita Std, we have evolved quite a bit over the years. Back in the day, people came in mostly to make long-distance phone calls, but now it is more about mobile recharges and small general items. Since we are so close to the station, there is never a dull moment. You see people carrying heavy suitcases and looking at their watches. I try to help them out with whatever they need quickly so they don't miss their trains. The shop is quite small, honestly, but it is enough for me to sit and manage everything. I keep some basic snacks, pens, and other small things that travelers often realize they are missing. The heat in Jaipur can be tough, so I keep the fridge running all day for cold drinks. It is a noisy spot with all the traffic and the station sounds, but I like being in the middle of it all. I start my day early because the trains don't wait for anyone. Sometimes travelers ask for directions or about hotel prices nearby, and I tell them what I know. It is just a humble place that has been part of this street for a long time. We don't do anything special, just stay open and help the people who stop by. My sister Kavita used to help me more often, but now I mostly handle it myself with some help in the late evenings.
