Jk Cement

We have our office at 206 Axis Mall, located on Bhagwan Das Road in the Jc- Scheme area. It’s a bit of a contrast, honestly, working for Jk Cement inside a modern shopping mall. Downstairs there are people shopping and going to the movies, while up here in the office, we are focusing on tons of cement and construction schedules. It’s a nice enough place to work, with the elevators and the air conditioning, which is a relief during the Jaipur summers. Our day-to-day work involves coordinating between the plants and the various construction sites across the region. We spend a lot of time on our computers and phones, checking on dispatches and making sure the billing is correct. Sometimes it feels a bit strange to be so far removed from the actual dust and grime of a building site while we sit in a mall, but this is where the planning happens. We have a small group of people in this office, and we mostly keep to ourselves. During lunch, we might go down to the food court, but usually, we just eat at our desks and keep working. Bhagwan Das Road is a busy area, but being in the mall makes everything feel a bit more organized. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls; we just make sure that when someone needs cement for their project, the order gets processed and the trucks are sent out.
