Jeewan Medicals is at No. 8 in the Badhwar Market, which is part of the Film Colony area near Chaura Rasta. If you know Chaura Rasta, you know how packed it gets. There are people, bikes, and rickshaws everywhere. Our shop in Badhwar Market is right in the thick of it. It’s a small space, but we use every inch of it for storing supplies. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling. We have a small counter where we handle all the transactions. It’s usually quite loud outside with the shouting of vendors and the honking of horns. We’ve been here long enough that the noise just becomes background sound after a while. Most of our day is spent helping people find what they need and checking our stock levels. The market has an old feel to it, and our place fits right in. There’s no air conditioning, so we rely on a couple of wall fans to keep the air moving. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but that’s just life in the city. We open early and close late, following the rhythm of the market. Sometimes it’s hard to move around because of the crates, but we manage. It’s an honest way to spend the day, and we appreciate the regulars who stop by to say hello while they’re doing their shopping. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
