If you are looking for Jai Shree Collection, you have to head into the heart of Johari Bazar. We are at 1710 Falor Bhawan, specifically near Uncha Kuwa at the 4th crossing on Hadiyon Ka Rasta. It’s a bit of a maze back here, and if you aren't careful, you might take a wrong turn. The building is quite old, like most things in this part of town, with high ceilings and thick walls that keep it cool even when the Jaipur heat is at its worst. We deal with a lot of traditional items and fabrics that are common in this area. The lanes outside are so narrow that two rickshaws can barely pass each other, which adds to the character of the place, I suppose. I've spent most of my life in these streets, so I don't mind the crowd or the constant shouting of vendors. Inside the shop, things are piled up according to what arrived most recently. We don't have a computer to track everything; it's all done in notebooks that sit on my desk. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy bundles and showing different pieces to customers who might spend an hour deciding on one thing. Johari Bazar has a specific rhythm to it, starting slow in the morning and getting very hectic by sunset. We just stay here and do our work in the middle of it all.
