Iqra Public School

Iqra Public School is located at 131, Mehnat Nagar, which is right in the Hasanpura area of Jaipur. If you are coming from Hatwara, you will find us easily enough in the middle of the residential lanes. It is a busy neighborhood with a lot of people going about their business every day. Our school is just a part of that daily life. The building is number 131 and we have been in this spot for some time now. In the mornings, you can hear the kids arriving and the parents dropping them off before they head to work. It gets quite loud around eight o'clock, but that is just how a school is. We have classrooms that are basic but they do the job for the local children here. Jaipur can get very hot in the summer, so we try to keep the fans running and make sure the water coolers are always full. The teachers are mostly local people from Hasanpura or nearby who know the families around here. We don't have a big shiny campus, just this building in Mehnat Nagar where we teach the basics. It is a practical place where we follow the schedule and try to keep things organized. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with cycles and scooters, especially when school lets out in the afternoon. We just deal with the daily routine as it comes and try to keep the place tidy for the students who come here.
