Alka Corporation

If you walk up to the first floor of Raisar Plaza in Indra Bazar you will find our shop at F-9. It is a crowded building and sometimes the stairs feel like a lot but we have been here for a good while now. Alka Corporation is basically just a few of us handling things behind the counter. The space is filled with boxes and parts because we try to keep what people ask for in stock. Indra Bazar is always noisy with people shouting and bikes honking outside so it never stays quiet for long. We open up in the morning and start checking what came in the day before. Dealing with customers takes up most of the time and some days are much more hectic than others. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is more about finding the right piece someone needs and getting it to them. Sometimes the power goes out in the plaza and we just sit and wait with the door open for some air. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here so it feels like a small community even in the middle of the city. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a small operation but it keeps us going and we like being right in the middle of the market where everything happens. Every evening we pack things up and hope the traffic isn't too bad for the commute home.
