Inderjit Ahuja

Living and working out of Hostel No:1, Room No: 72 at the Malaviya National Institute of Technology in Jaipur is a bit different than a regular office. I’m Inderjit Ahuja and this is where I’ve set things up for now. The campus on JLN Marg is huge, so it’s a lot of walking to get anywhere, but I like the atmosphere of being around the university. My room is pretty small, packed with books and my computer, and there’s usually a bit of noise from the hallway when the other guys are moving around. It’s not a fancy setup, but it’s where everything happens. I spend a lot of time at my desk, sometimes late into the night when the hostel finally gets quiet. Jaipur gets really hot in the summer, so I’ve usually got a small fan going that rattles a bit. I don't have a big team or anything like that, it’s just me handling whatever tasks come my way. Sometimes I meet people over at the canteen if we need to talk about something because it’s easier than trying to fit everyone in my room. It’s a very basic way of doing things, mostly just keeping track of my notes and staying on top of the schedule. Being in Rajasthan, the air is often dry and the sun is bright, but inside the hostel walls, it’s just another day of trying to get things done without getting too distracted by everything else going on.
