We deal with Gota and other traditional materials that people use for clothing. The shop is small and old, located deep inside the narrow lanes of the Katla. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't used to these markets, but we have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for years. There are always rolls of Gota and thread everywhere you look. It’s noisy, dusty, and very busy, but that is just the way Johari Bazar is. We don't have air conditioning or fancy displays. We just have our stools and our stock. We don't really do any marketing because everybody in the trade knows where Purohit Ji Ka Katla is. We just focus on serving the people who come in, whether they want a small piece or a whole bundle. It’s hard work being in such a cramped space all day, but it’s what we know. We are proud to be part of the history of this market. We aren't looking to change things or become a big modern store. We just want to keep the tradition going and stay in our lane.
