You can find us at Unit No 201 on Sansar Chandra Road, inside the Royal World building. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a view of the street, which is always packed with cars and bikes. The noise from the traffic outside stays with us all day, like a background hum that you eventually stop noticing. Our space is pretty basic. We have a few rows of desks, some computers that have seen better days, and a lot of filing cabinets. The stairs up to the unit can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens once in a while. We spend the morning sorting through emails and checking on claims that came in overnight. It’s a lot of typing and clicking. People come in with their folders tucked under their arms, looking a bit stressed about their paperwork. We sit them down, offer some water, and start going through the lines. The lighting isn't the brightest, but it works for what we do. Around lunchtime, the smell of food from the nearby stalls drifts up, and we usually take turns heading out for a quick bite. It is not a quiet job, and there is always something needing to be filed or scanned. We just keep our heads down and work through the stack until it’s time to lock up and head home in the evening rush. It is a simple routine for us.
