Out here at 311/4 A Saptrishi Nagar, things get busy long before the sun is even up. We deal with a lot of crates coming in and out at all hours. It’s mostly about checking what arrived from the local farms and seeing what looks okay to go out to the shops. Fruits and vegetables are tricky because they don't wait for anyone to get organized. If something sits too long in the heat, it’s basically junk. We spend most of our time sorting through piles, moving stuff from the back to the front. The space here in Saptrishi Nagar isn't huge, so we have to be really organized or we run out of room for the new arrivals. There’s always a bit of mud on the floor from the vegetable sacks, and we’re constantly cleaning up stems and leaves. It’s a messy job, to be honest. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity with shiny trucks and uniforms. We’re just a few people trying to make sure the baskets get filled properly. Some days the tomatoes are great, other days the onions are a bit small or the potatoes are dusty, that’s just how nature works. We just take what comes and do our best with it. The neighborhood knows us by the stacks of empty wooden crates outside our door. We’ve been here at this address for a bit now, and everyone just gets on with the daily work.
