First Citizen

We are located on the ground floor of the MGF Metropolitan Mall in Bais Godam, under the name First Citizen. Our unit is Gf 8. Being inside a mall is a lot different from having a shop out on the street. There’s air conditioning, which is a big relief during the summer months, but it still feels like a lot of hard work. We aren't one of those massive international brands that you see in every city. We’re just a smaller store trying to offer people something a bit different. The mall gets really busy on the weekends, so those days usually pass by in a blur for us. During the middle of the week, it’s much quieter and we spend our time rearranging the shelves or checking what we have left in the back. We don't have a big corporate team sitting in an office somewhere. It’s just a few of us working shifts and helping customers find what they need. Sometimes the mall security can be a bit strict about things, but we’ve learned how to get along with everyone. We try to keep the shop looking decent and clean, but it’s not meant to be a high-end designer place. It’s just a regular shop. People often stop in while they’re on their way to the movies or the food court upstairs. We’ve been here at Gf 8 for a few years now. It’s a decent spot for us.
