Commerce Mantra

Mansarovar is a big area and being on Hans Marg near Riddhi Siddhi Road 49 puts us right in the middle of all the noise. It’s a lively neighborhood. The street outside is usually lined with scooters and cars, especially in the late afternoon. Our space inside Commerce Mantra is fairly straightforward. We have a few shelves filled with old registers and some calculators that have definitely seen better days. The floor is tile, which stays cool even when it’s baking outside. I usually get here around nine and start by sweeping the front step because the dust from Riddhi Siddhi Road just settles everywhere. Sometimes the front door sticks a little bit when the weather is humid, so you have to give it a good push. There’s a small shop nearby that sells the best samosas, so that’s usually my lunch if I didn't bring anything from home. Hans Marg has a lot of little businesses like ours. You get to know the neighbors after a while, like the guy who runs the pharmacy next door. It’s not a quiet place, there’s always a horn honking or someone shouting a greeting, but it has a good energy. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The lights inside are a bit bright, but they help when the sun goes down and we’re still finishing up the day’s records. It's a busy corner of the world to be in.
