Our business, Chirag-Internatinoal-Inc., is located at 771, Khawasji Ka Rasta. This is just off the Hawa Mahal Road Bazar, so we are right where all the tourists and the locals gather. It is a very lively part of the city. The building is old, like most things in this area, and the stairs are a bit steep. We spend our days surrounded by the hustle of the market. There is always someone selling something or a guide talking to a group nearby. Our office is a simple place with a few desks and a lot of samples of what we sell. We deal with people from all over, but we are very much a local operation. We don't have a corporate office in a skyscraper. We have a small room in an old street. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets blocked by a festival, and we just have to wait it out. That is just life in the bazaar. We handle the international side of things through our contacts, but the heart of the business is right here at 771. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the shipments go out on time. It is a lot of work and the days are long, but being near the Hawa Mahal means there is always something interesting to see.
