Chaman Dwakhana

You can find us on Sikar Road, right across from the police station and very close to Hotel Indoria. It is a convenient spot for people who are travelling in or out of the city. We have been running this dwakhana for a long time now. We sell traditional medicines, herbs, and various oils that people use for their health. The shop has a very specific smell of dried roots and spices that hits you as soon as you walk in. It is a small space but we try to keep it as tidy as possible. We have rows of glass jars filled with different powders and seeds. Many of our customers have been coming to us for years and we know their families well. Sometimes people stop by just to ask for advice on a small ailment or to see what is new. It is a much more personal way of doing things than going to a big pharmacy. Sikar Road is always loud with traffic, but inside the shop, it feels a bit more peaceful. We do not do any advertising or marketing. Word of mouth is how most people find us. My grandfather started this tradition and we are just keeping it going. We open the doors early in the morning and we stay until the sun has gone down. It is a simple life and we are happy to be helping the local community with natural remedies.
