Cfi Pharmaceuticals Limited is tucked away in the 22 Godown area. If you know the spot, you know it is mostly warehouses and small industrial units. We are over at Bagat Brothers, number ten. It is a bit of a maze back here, with narrow lanes and lots of delivery vans trying to turn around. The walls are thick, which helps keep things a bit cooler when the Rajasthan sun is hitting hard outside. We have stacks of boxes piled up, and there is always that smell of cardboard and maybe a bit of tape. Working in a godown means you are always moving something. It is not a desk job where you sit still for eight hours. My shoes get dusty pretty fast walking from the front gate to the back office. We have a small desk where the ledgers stay. Sometimes the neighbors come by to borrow a stapler or just to complain about the road repairs. It gets loud when the trucks are loading up next door. We have a small corner for the water cooler which is the most popular spot in June. Most of us have been here for years, so we know where every single item is kept without looking at the list. It is a simple setup, really. No carpets or fancy lights, just solid floors and plenty of shelf space. We keep the doors open for the breeze when it’s not too dusty. It works for us. There is always a lot of noise from the main road, but you stop noticing it after a while.
