Bohra Institute Of Gemology is located on Sahkar Marg, specifically at A 43 on BS Road. It’s a place where we spend a lot of time looking at stones through small lenses and teaching others how to do the same. The office is usually quiet because you need a bit of concentration for this kind of work. We have various instruments scattered around the tables and shelves filled with books and samples. People come to us when they want to learn about gems or when they need someone to take a look at a stone they’ve bought. It isn't a flashy jewelry store; it's more like a workshop or a classroom where the focus is on the details of the minerals. We handle a lot of paperwork and stones every day, and sometimes it gets a bit tedious, but it’s what we do. The lighting in the room has to be just right, so we are always fiddling with the lamps. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a few people who really know their stuff and don’t mind the slow, careful pace of the work. Most of the people who find us are already interested in the trade or are students looking to get into the business. We just provide the space and the tools for them to get their work done.
