Bhishm Livelihood Training Council

You can find the Bhishm Livelihood Training Council over at 1/238, Chitrakoot Yojna, which is just off Ajmer Road in Jaipur. It’s a busy spot because Ajmer Road is one of the main veins of the city. We work out of a modest office where we try to help people figure out how to earn a better living for themselves. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall; we just have a lot of files and a few chairs for visitors. The area around 302019 is mostly residential, so it stays relatively quiet once you step inside from the main road. We spend our days talking to people about their skills and what kind of work is actually available out there. It’s a lot of talking and listening. We aren't a big government agency, just a council trying to do some good in the local area. The office can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of visitors, but we make do. We usually have tea around eleven, and that’s when we catch up on the local news or chat about the weather. The building is a bit older, so the doors sometimes creak, but it serves us well enough. We’ve been at this Chitrakoot Yojna location for a while, and we plan to stay right here and keep doing what we do every day. It’s just regular work for us.
