Ayurvedic Chikintsalay

Our place, Ayurvedic Chikintsalay, is right in the middle of the Kotputli Bazar on Thana Road. If you know the area near Ram Pyau, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. It’s a busy spot with people always moving through the market. The shop isn't very large, but we keep it packed with all the jars and packets we need. It smells like herbs and ground roots in here most of the time, which is something you get used to after a week or two. We spend a lot of our day just talking to people who come in from the villages nearby. They usually have a lot to say about their health or what’s going on at home. It gets loud outside with the traffic on Thana Road, but inside it stays a bit calmer. We have been in this same spot for quite some time now. The shelves are getting a bit old and we have to reorganize them constantly to find everything. We don't really do any fancy advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here because their neighbors told them or they saw the sign while buying vegetables next door. It’s a simple way of working. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start seeing whoever shows up. Sometimes it’s busy and sometimes we just sit and watch the crowd go by while we wait.
