Ayurved Chikitsa Kendra

Our center is located at 393 Shastri Nagar, specifically in the Ram Nagar area. Ayurved Chikitsa Kendra is a quiet place for the most part. We have shelves filled with different herbs and bottles. The smell of dried plants is quite strong when you first walk in. We spend the day talking to people about their health and what they’re feeling. It’s not like a big hospital; it’s much smaller and more personal. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years now. A lot of our visitors are people who live just a few streets away. We keep a notebook of what we have in stock because the labels can be hard to read sometimes. The waiting area is just a couple of wooden benches. We don't have a fancy computer system for appointments. People usually just show up or send word they’re coming. Sometimes we have to spend time grinding up ingredients or mixing things in the back room. It’s slow work and you can’t really rush it. We try to keep things clean and tidy, but with so many jars, it’s a constant task. The floor is made of old stone and stays cool in the summer months. We keep the front door open mostly to let the breeze in. It’s a simple practice. We’re just here to help the folks in Shastri Nagar with what we know about traditional methods. It’s a calm way to spend the day for us.
