Ashoka Traders

We’ve been here at Amer Road for quite a while now. If you know where Jorawar Singh Gate is, we are just right there, sitting opposite Uti Park. It’s a busy spot with lots of people passing by every day. We started Ashoka Traders because we wanted to have a steady place to work in our own neighborhood. Mostly, we just keep stock of what people around here need for their daily projects. Some days are loud with the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a couple of rooms filled with supplies and a wooden desk where we sit and handle the paperwork. Sometimes the tea guy from down the street comes by and we take a break for a few minutes. We open up early in the morning, usually before the sun gets too hot. It takes a bit of time to get everything organized for the day. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most of our regulars just walk in because they know we've been here forever. We try to keep things simple. If we have what you're looking for, we tell you, and if we don't, we might know someone else who does. Dealing with suppliers takes up a lot of our afternoon time. It’s just honest work, really. We’ve seen the park across the street change over the years while we stayed pretty much the same.
