Ashok Enterprises

Ashok Enterprises is located at No. 89 in the Chand Pole Bazaar area, right within the New Atish Market on the Gopalpura Bypass. This is a very hectic part of the city with a lot of shops packed closely together. It can be a real struggle to find a place to park a scooter or a car nearby, but that is just how it is in this market. Our shop is a modest space where we keep our inventory stacked up on tall shelves. It might look a bit disorganized to a stranger, but we know where every single item is located. The market has its own busy rhythm, starting slow in the cool of the morning and getting very crowded by the afternoon. We spend a lot of time chatting with the other shop owners on either side of us. Because of the bypass road, there is always a bit of dust blowing in, so we are constantly cleaning the counters. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy slogans. We just open the shop shutters every day and wait for customers to come in. This business was started by my father, and I have been helping run things here at No. 89 for a long time. We still use a manual calculator and a big paper ledger for our accounts. It is an old-fashioned way of doing business, but it works for us. We just try to be honest and do our jobs without making any unnecessary fuss.
