Bandikui is a quiet place most of the time, and our school is right out on Gudha Katla Road. If you’re driving toward Dausa, you’ll pass us. The school is a simple setup. We have a big front gate that usually needs a bit of oil because it squeaks when it opens in the morning. The kids come from all over the local area, some walking and some on bikes. We have classrooms that get plenty of light, which is good because sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two. We just keep the windows open then. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we have someone sweep the place every morning before the first bell. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who have been here for years. We know most of the parents by their first names. It’s not a fancy private school with air conditioning in every room, but it’s a solid place. The playground out back is where the real noise happens during recess. We’ve got some old trees that give a bit of shade. Sometimes we have to remind the students to stay away from the fence near the road. It’s just a normal school day here, with books, chalk, and the usual hustle. We don't do things for show; we just try to get the teaching done so the kids can get home before dark.
