Aravali Masala

Aravali Masala is located at Shop No. B-14 in the Chandpole Anaj Mandi. Being right opposite the Metro Railway Station means it’s always loud and crowded outside our door. There’s a constant stream of people and rickshaws going by. Our shop is small and packed from floor to ceiling. We have bags of different masalas stacked in every available corner. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have more than two people inside. We’ve been in this market for years, and we know all the other shopkeepers around us. We don't have a fancy display or bright neon signs. We just have the goods sitting there in their bags. People come in, ask for what they need, and we scoop it out for them. It’s a very basic way of doing things. The walls are stained from years of dust and spice, and the fan on the ceiling wobbles a bit, but it still works. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy packaging. We just use plain bags and a marker to write what’s inside. It’s an honest, busy life in the Mandi. You hear the metro trains passing every few minutes, and that’s our background music. We don't have any big speeches about our history. We just open the shop in the morning and close it when the sun goes down. It’s how we’ve always operated.
