Ankur Joshi

If you’re ever heading down New Sanganer Road in Jaipur, you might pass by where I work. My name is Ankur Joshi and my place is at 311 Vivek Vihar. It’s a nice enough area, a bit quieter than the main city center but still pretty busy during the morning rush. I’ve been set up here for some time now, and the office has kind of become like a second home. It’s got that lived-in feel with coffee mugs on the table and stacks of magazines that I keep meaning to throw away. I don’t have a big team or anything, just a few people I trust. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the computers or talking on the phone. The building is okay, though the parking out front can be a nightmare if you arrive after ten. Most of the people who come to see me are from the local area, so we often end up talking about local news or the weather before we get down to any actual business. I think that’s the best way to do things—just being normal and not acting like some big executive. Jaipur is a great city to work in, and Vivek Vihar gives me enough space to breathe without being too far from everything else. I just take things one day at a time and try to do an honest job without overcomplicating what doesn't need to be complicated.
