We are over at Shivaji Nagar Apartments, specifically G 2 A 1. It is in the Shivaji Nagar part of Civil Lines here in Jaipur. The 302016 pin code covers this area. It feels a bit different than the busier parts of the city because it is a residential complex. Abacus Consultants Jaipur is situated right there on the ground level. We share the building with families and other neighbors, so you often hear kids playing in the hallways or people chatting outside their doors. Our space is just a few rooms converted into an office. We have curtains on the windows to keep the afternoon sun out because Rajasthan heat is no joke. The furniture is mostly wooden and pretty heavy. We have a lot of storage boxes stacked in the corner because we keep a lot of records. The air conditioner hums in the corner, and sometimes it makes a rattling noise that we have just learned to ignore. We don't really do much in the way of decorating. It is more about having enough space for everyone to sit and work. We have a small kitchenette area for making coffee. It is a very normal, local kind of workplace. We just focus on the daily tasks and keeping the paperwork moving along. The neighbors are nice and the area stays relatively quiet during the day which helps us stay focused on the papers on our desks.
