Ankit Paints

Ankit Paints is located right in the middle of Tripoliya Bazar. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets. We are at number 8. It’s an old market street with a lot of history and constant noise. Our shop is packed floor to ceiling with paint cans of every color you can think of. It smells like fresh paint and solvents most of the time. We have been in this spot for years. People come in from all over the city to find specific shades. The shop is narrow, so we have to be careful when moving ladders or big buckets. It’s a lot of work keeping track of what’s in the back. Usually, I’m the one behind the counter. My brother helps out too. We see a lot of painters and homeowners who are fixing up their places. The Bazar is always full of people, so it’s never quiet. We don’t really have a fancy sign or anything. Most folks just know us by word of mouth. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use flashlights to find the right can. It’s just part of being in an old market. We try to help people pick the right type of finish for their walls. It’s a simple life running a paint shop here. We enjoy the chaos of Tripoliya Bazar. It is just what we do.
