Ajay Engineering Work

We are located at plot 19 in the Jhotwara Industrial Area. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the other factories around us. In our shop, we deal with a lot of metal turning and machine parts. There is always the sound of lathes running and the smell of cutting oil in the air. We keep a few old machines that still work better than the new ones sometimes. It’s not a clean place, grease gets on everything, including the walls and our clothes. We don't mind. We focus on getting the dimensions right for whatever the customers bring to us. Usually, it's local businesses needing a part fixed or a new piece fabricated for their equipment. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when the sun is hitting the roof hard. We keep the doors open to let the breeze in, though it mostly just brings in more dust from the road. Working in Jhotwara means there is always someone moving trucks or unloading steel nearby. We've been at this for a good number of years now. Our tea breaks are a nice part of the afternoon. We sit on the stools and talk about the jobs we have lined up. It’s steady work, nothing too exciting, just making sure things fit together like they should. We don't use computers much, mostly just our hands and the measuring tapes. We just get the job done and hope the electricity stays on.
