Our shop is on the first floor at Bhan Nagar, right there on Queens Road in Jaipur. It’s Shop Number 9. If you’ve ever walked along that stretch, you know it’s a lively place. We deal with the biotech side of farming, which sounds complicated but really it’s just about getting better seeds and better soil health for the local growers. We spend a lot of our time looking at samples or talking to farmers about what’s not working in their fields. It’s a small space, often cluttered with bags of samples and folders full of data. We don’t have a big marketing budget, so we mostly rely on people telling their neighbors about us. We aren't some massive lab with white coats and sterile rooms; we’re just people who understand the science of plants and want to help. Sometimes the heat in Jaipur makes the office a bit stuffy, but we keep the fans going and keep working. We see a lot of people coming in from the outskirts of the city looking for advice on their crops. We try to give them straight answers without a lot of technical jargon. It’s about making sure the plants grow strong and the farmers can make a living. We’ve been here for a bit now and we’ve come to know the local landscape pretty well. It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it for the community.
