S. S. Garments International

S. S. Garments International is based out of A-8 Saket Colony, and it is mostly just a quiet spot where we get our work done. We spend most of our days looking at patterns and cutting rolls of cloth. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we all just sit outside on the steps for a bit until it comes back on. It is not a big fancy office like you see in the movies. We have about ten sewing machines running at once, so it gets pretty noisy in the middle of the day. The thread gets everywhere, on our clothes and even in our hair. My uncle started this business years ago and now we just keep the machines running. We make shirts mostly. People from the area come by to pick up their orders, and we usually have a pot of tea ready if they want to sit for a minute. It is just how we do things here. Sometimes the fabric delivery is late because of traffic, and we have to stay late into the night to finish a batch. The neighbors do not mind the noise too much because we always stop by six. A-8 is easy enough to find if you know the colony. We do not have a big sign or anything fancy on the door. We keep the fabric scraps in big bags in the corner to sell later. It is dusty work, but it keeps us busy. Our hands are usually a bit rough from the cloth.
